Scarlette

Scarlette

As we set out to trap some known residents in a bustling commercial parking lot one late night, little did we know that fate had another plan. Our mission was to relocate specific cats that had made their home in the bushes of a median, and we were overjoyed to trap our intended targets.

But as our trappers began collecting the additional traps they had set, there, in all her splendor, was Scarlette—a stunning Dilute Tortie with a story of her own. To the clinic she went! It turned out that Scarlette was already spayed, but lacked a microchip. What made her even more remarkable was her social nature with humans.

We shared her photos far and wide, hoping to reunite her with the family that had cared enough to ensure she wouldn't contribute to unwanted litters. We held onto Scarlette with high hopes, but alas, no one came forward to claim her.

And so, Scarlette found her new home at our sanctuary, where she's living her best life, surrounded by the love and care she deserves. She's a shining example of resilience, and the beauty of second chances.

Scarlette's story reminds us that sometimes, life brings us unexpected treasures when we least expect them.

From her humble beginnings in that bustling parking lot, Scarlette has seamlessly integrated into our sanctuary life. She still maintains her endearing habit of greeting from afar, patiently waiting her turn to offer affection after everyone else has had their chance. Scarlette is still the security guard who continues to patrol around the yard, a testament to her watchful nature and sense of duty.
